Tournament "Golden belt" In Serbia
Competitors from karate club Nikon have participated in the tournament Golden Belt ,organized by the Serbian karate federation and karate club Borac on April 14 2007.Teams from 12 countries joined the tournament , Macedonia ,France , Croatia , Slovenia ,Hungary and more. Over 300 fought for the medals in the different categories. In -60 kg Nikolai Tzanev was an absolute champion after he played five matches to win the final and the golden medal. The rest of our team couldn’t get any medals but they did played some great matches.

Balkan championship for children and cadets in Romania
In the end of June in Romania, Bucharest was held the Balkan championship for children and cadets. A member from karate club “Nikon”, Borislav Petkov competed with the cadets. He was in third place at the National championship in Pleven (2-3 June), and was chosen for the national team.In the first match Bobi defeated a representative of Romania with 1 point lead , but he lost his second match against with 1 point in the added time ,against a competitor from Turkey.

The first Karate-do competition for 2008 was the National championship for junior and cadet in Sofia. The competition took place on 26-27 January in CSKA volleyball hall. 105 competitors from 22 clubs fought for the medals. Karate club Sofia commerce Nikon was in the competition with 10 karateka’s and they won 13 medals and the first place for the club at the end of the championship. This was also a selection for the Bulgarian National team for the European championship in Italy, this February.
